The short version
- You do not need an account, and there is no way to create one.
- Docelora sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- There is no analytics software and no advertising network on this site.
- Files you upload are removed as soon as your result has been produced.
- Results are removed by an automatic cleanup shortly afterwards — in practice within about twenty minutes.
- Your documents are not read for any purpose other than performing the operation you asked for.
The rest of this page explains each of those precisely, because “we respect your privacy” is not a statement anyone can check.
Who is responsible for your information
Docelora is operated under the name Docelora.com, from the United Kingdom. The site is available to people anywhere, and this policy applies to everyone who uses it. For anything in this policy, including a request about your own information, write to info@docelora.com.
What happens to a file you upload
This is the part that matters most, so it is described step by step.
Your browser sends the file to the processing service
The connection is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, which is what every modern browser requires. The file goes to Docelora’s own processing service and nowhere else.
It is written to a temporary working directory
Each job gets its own directory, named by a random 128-bit identifier, outside any directory the web server can serve. Nothing in it is reachable by guessing a URL; the only way to it is through the API, using the job identifier your own page holds.
The filename you chose is discarded
Your file is stored under a number, not its name. A client-supplied filename never touches the filesystem, and it is never echoed back in a response header.
The operation you asked for is performed
Reading the document is necessary to split, rotate, reorder or number it. It is not read for any other purpose, and its contents are never written to a log.
Your upload is deleted
As soon as the result exists, the uploaded file is removed. It is not kept as a copy, a backup or a cache.
The result waits briefly, then goes too
It has to survive long enough for you to download it. A cleanup pass runs every five minutes and removes anything older than fifteen, so a result exists for roughly fifteen to twenty minutes.
That last figure describes what the cleanup actually does. It is not a promise that a file is gone at a precise moment, and this policy will not pretend otherwise.
If a download is still streaming when the cleanup runs, the file is deliberately left alone until the next pass so your download is not cut off — so a file can occasionally live slightly longer than twenty minutes. A specific guarantee would require a different design, and would be a claim rather than a description.
You can also clear a result immediately. The Start again button on any tool page discards it, and a result you never download expires by itself.
What Docelora does not collect
| Status | |
|---|---|
| Accounts, names, email addresses | None collected. There is no sign-up and no contact form. |
| Cookies | None set. See the Cookie Policy. |
| Browser storage | Nothing written to localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB. |
| Analytics | No analytics software of any kind is installed. |
| Advertising and tracking pixels | None present. |
| Third-party scripts | None. No page loads code, fonts or images from another company. |
| Payment details | None. Nothing on this site is paid for. |
| The contents of your documents | Read only to perform your operation. Never logged, never retained after the job. |
| Your filenames | Not used on disk and not stored. Discarded on arrival. |
The absence of third-party scripts is worth a sentence of its own. A single external script can set cookies and report which page you are reading, entirely outside the control of the site that included it. Docelora includes none, which is why the claims above can be made at all.
What is unavoidably recorded
Being honest about this matters more than a clean-sounding claim.
A web server receives a request in order to answer it, and that request carries your IP address. Web servers ordinarily keep a short technical record of the requests they handle. Docelora’s processing service also counts requests per address in memory, so that one visitor cannot exhaust the service for everyone — those counts hold an address for the length of the rate-limiting window and are never written to disk.
The processing service records the kind of a failure and its error number when a job goes wrong, so that a fault can be diagnosed. It deliberately does not record the contents of a document, the name of an uploaded file, or the text of a user-facing message.
The website and the processing service run on infrastructure provided by Hostinger, which necessarily handles the network traffic and the temporary files involved in providing that hosting. What that provider records, and for how long, is governed by its own terms.
Legal basis and your rights
Processing a file you have uploaded is necessary in order to give you the thing you asked for. There is no separate profile, marketing list or shared dataset built from it, because none is created.
Because no account exists and uploads are discarded as soon as a job finishes, there is normally nothing held about you to access, correct, export or erase by the time you might ask. If you believe something about you is nonetheless held, write to info@docelora.com and it will be looked into.
Depending on where you live you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability under data-protection law, and a right to complain to a supervisory authority. Docelora is operated from the United Kingdom and this policy is governed by the law of England and Wales. That does not displace rights you may hold where you live, and no claim is made here that the service meets the requirements of every country it can be reached from. This page describes what the software does; it is not legal advice.
Children
Docelora is a document utility with no account system, no social features and no content directed at children. It is not designed or marketed for use by children, and no age information is collected because no personal information is collected.
Advertising, in future
Docelora intends to carry advertising. None is present today — there is no advertising code on any page, which you can confirm by viewing the source of this one.
Advertising networks generally set cookies and may collect information about the pages a visitor sees. When advertising is introduced, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be rewritten first, to name what is being set and by whom, with the appropriate consent mechanism in place before anything is set.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes how Docelora works today. When the software changes in a way that makes any statement here inaccurate, the policy is updated as part of that change rather than afterwards.
No version history is shown yet, because this is the first version and the page has not been published.
